Privacy Policy
Comprehensive privacy notice under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP, published March 20, 2025). In short: this website has no accounts or forms, uses no tracking cookies, shows no ads, and we don't sell your data.
1. Data controller
Carlos Quijano, doing business as SuperOvni Studios, based in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, is responsible for processing your personal data on superovni.com. Privacy contact: hola@superovni.com.
This policy covers only the superovni.com website. Each game has its own Privacy Policy explaining the data that game uses (see Each Game's Documents).
2. Data we process
| Type | What it is | When |
|---|---|---|
| Technical data | IP address, browser and device type, page visited, and date and time, which our hosting provider logs for security and to keep the website running. | When you visit the website. |
| Email and message | Your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write to us. | Only if you write to hola@superovni.com. |
| Language preference | Whether you chose Spanish or English. It is stored in your own browser; we don't receive it. | If you change the language. |
We do not process sensitive personal data, financial or payment data, or your location. The website has no accounts, forms, third-party analytics or ads.
Game images and icons load from each game's official address (for example, grovee.superovni.com), which also belong to SuperOvni Studios and are hosted with the same provider.
3. Purposes
Necessary purposes:
- Showing you the website and keeping it secure and working.
- Answering your messages, questions, reports and requests.
- Complying with legal obligations.
Secondary purposes: none today. We don't use your data for advertising or marketing. If we ever did, we would ask you first and you could say no.
4. Who we share your data with
- Providers that help us operate (processors), who may only use the data to provide their service to us: Netlify (website hosting; global network) and our email provider, when you write to us.
- Authorities, when a law or a valid order requires it.
We don't sell, rent or share your data with third parties for advertising.
5. International transfers
Our providers store and process data outside Mexico, mainly in the United States. We do this to be able to provide the service, using providers with security measures and contractual data protection commitments.
6. Your rights and withdrawal of consent
You can access, rectify or delete your data, or object to its use, and you can also withdraw your consent:
- Write to hola@superovni.com with the subject “Privacy rights”, stating your name, your email, which right you want to exercise and, for a correction, the correct information. If you act on behalf of someone else (for example, a minor), please show that you are authorized.
- We'll reply within 20 days of receiving your request and, if it applies, carry it out within the following 15 days.
- If your request is about your data in a game (for example, deleting your Grovee account), follow the procedure in that game's Privacy Policy or write to us naming the game.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep the emails you send us for as long as needed to help you and for as long as the law requires. Our hosting provider's technical logs are kept for a limited period and deleted automatically.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and providers with security measures. No system is 100% secure; if we detect an incident that affects your rights, we'll let you know.
9. Storage on your device
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We only store the language you chose in your browser. Details in the Cookie Policy.
10. Minors
The website doesn't ask for any data to browse it. If you are under 18, ask your parent or guardian for permission before writing to us. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we received a minor's data without that permission, write to us and we'll delete it. Each game has its own guide or rules for minors.
11. If you live outside Mexico
European Union, United Kingdom and European Economic Area: we process your data based on legitimate interest (keeping the website working and secure, and answering your messages). You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and to lodge a complaint with your country's data protection authority.
California and other U.S. states: we don't sell or “share” personal data for advertising. You can ask to know what data we hold, correct it or delete it, without being treated differently for doing so.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll publish the new version here with its date.
13. Authority
If you believe your right to data protection has been violated, you can contact Mexico's Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, the authority for personal data held by private parties under the 2025 law.
